UH Professor Mintz Receives Prestigious Fellowship

Steven Mintz, John and Rebecca Moores Professor of History, has been named a fellow at the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences in Palo Alto, where he will work on his new book project, a history of American adulthood from the colonial era to the present. Dr. Mintz also is the author of Huck's Raft: A History of American Childhood (Belknap Press of Harvard University Press, 2004), among other books. Huck's Raft received the Merle Curti Award for the Best Book in American Social History in 2004 from the Organization of American Historians.
