UH History Department Welcomes 3 Speakers in April

On Wednesday, April 25, Michael Olivas of the University of Houston Law Center law school will about his recent book, Colored Men and Hombres Aqui: Hernandez v. Texas and the Emergence of Mexican American Lawyering. The talk will be at noon in Agnes Arnold Hall 520.
On Thursday, April 26, Michael Gelting, Senior Researcher and Archivist at the Danish National Archives, will speak on "Reason and the Black Death: Coping with Plague in the 14th Century." The talk will be at 4:00 p.m. in SEC 204.
On Friday, April 27, Cynthia Radding, Professor of History and Director of the Latin American and Iberian Institute at the University of New Mexico, will speak on the environmental history of colonial Mexico and Bolivia. The talk will be at noon in Agnes Arnold Hall 549.
