Alumnus and Prize-winning Historian Botson to Speak at UH

Mike Botson, who received his Ph.D. in history from the University of Houston in 1999, is the lastest speaker in the Department's new History Alumni Series. Botson, a professor at Houston Community College-Northwest, received the Fehrenbach Award for his book, Labor, Civil Rights, and the Hughes Tool Company (Texas A&M University Press, 2005). The Texas Historical Commission awards this prize annually to recognize outstanding research and publication in Texas history.
Dr. Botson will speak at noon on November 16 in AH520 about his current research and about academic jobs and publishing generally.
