Youngblood Receives Research Grant for Dissertation

Kimberly Youngblood, a Ph.D. candidate in the University of Houston History Department, recently received an $11,000 grant from the Environmental Institute of Houston to support her dissertation research. Her dissertation is tentatively titled "Managing the Bay: How People, Politics, and Shrimping Influenced Galveston Bay's Ecosystem." Youngblood's dissertation adviser is Martin Melosi.
