Walther Wins SHA Book Prize

Professor Eric H. Walther's book, William Lowndes Yancey and the Coming of the Civil War has received the first James A. Rawley Award from the Southern Historical Association at its 2007 meeting. The James A. Rawley Award is awarded to a distinguished book dealing with secession and/or the sectional crisis published over a two-year period. Yancey previously received the Jefferson Davis Award from the Museum of the Confederacy.
