Brosnan Wins Faculty Award

Kathleen A. Brosnan received the University of Houston Alumni Assocation's Outstanding Faculty Award for 2007. The award recognizes a faculty member for bringing credit to the University of Houston through her accomplishes as a scholar. Additionally, the recipient must have a consistent pattern of teaching excellence and commitment to strengthening the bond between students and the University.
An associate professor and associate director of the UH Center for Public History, Brosnan's scholarship has focused on the intersections of western, environmental, urban and legal history. she is the author of United Mountain and Plain and numerous articles. Brosnan is currently completing a book that offers an environmental history of the Napa Valley wine industry.
