UH to Host Urban Association Meeting

The University of Houston Department of History and Center for Public History will host the 2008 meeting of the Urban History Association. The 2008 program, " Shock Cities: Urban Form in Historical Perspective, " will include a plenary session, panels, city tours, and other events. The meeting will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Downtown Houston from November 5 to November 8, 2008. Martin Melosi, the Distinguished Professor of History and Director of the Center for Public History, is the President-Elect of the Urban History Association (UHA).
