Neil Maher Speaking at UH on November 17th.

The University of Houston History Department is pleased announce an upcoming lecture by Dr. Neil Maher of the Federated History Department of the New Jersey Institute of Technology-Rutgers University. As part of the Tenneco Lecture Series, Dr. Maher will present a talk titled, Alligators and Rocket Ships: How Cape Canaveral Nature Spawned Johnson Space Center Sprawl. He also will briefly discuss his recently published book, Nature's New Deal (Oxford, 2008). There will be a limited number of books for signing and sale at a discounted price of $20.
The lecture is scheduled for Monday, November 17, 2008 at 4 p.m. in Agnes Arnold Hall, Room 549
