Estates in land, a lengthy series of exercises to teach and develop familiarity with the common law estates in land. This set of exercises is not oriented to legal practice, but to the academic side of estates in land: the nature of the various estates and the old common law rules and their application. Both historians and first year law students may find these exercises helpful.

Biography. On the theory that life assumptions structure the plausibility of the conclusions from documents and thus that biography may prove important to understanding an author's work, I have provided a brief biography of myself for whatever insight that may yield (of course, my response is that it will yield none, but an author will normally reply in that vein.)
