Scott Casart Jernigan

Greetings!

I am a Ph.D. student at the University of Houston, specializing in English Legal History. My M.A. thesis concerned law and legal structures during the reign of Henry VII, specifically focusing on the political aspects of various common law judicial decisions.

Other interests include medieval and renaissance music and singing, , computers, and consuming fine ales.

For a taste of one of my passions, check out Cantaria, a collection of digitized songs pertaining to the Current Middle Ages: traditional folk songs of the British Isles and specific SCA and Amtgard folk and filk songs.

On the last personal note, check out The Maggie Page! Home of the coolest girl in cyberspace. (New February 97 pictures)

Currently I am co-curator of the History Department Website at the University of Houston. Austin Allen, a fellow graduate student, works with me on this project and will at some point take over management of the site.

While perusing the UH History site, check out the fine Legal History resources provided by my mentor, Robert Palmer, and the American Slavery resources currently being edited by Steven Mintz.

Send me some email.
